The Amazon is Burning: New Poem

Much to say and much to add here about the travesties that have been occurring for many decades in the Amazon.  I remember my father reading about it in the daily Chicago Sun-Times when I was a kid.

More to come but for now, the U.S. is resisting to some degree a steady progression, maybe another attempt a few years ahead, to a possible coup d etat.
