In-Person Appearances coming up, 2022!

Ana Castillo, Jan. 2022

The new year came in with further Covid threats and attacks.  By all measures, it seems that vaccinations and boosters helped curb potential hospitalizations and deaths (for which I am grateful.) Please vaccinate and for the time being, mask up.  It’s common sense in protecting yourself and others from contagion.

Ana Castillo. Jan.2022

Some readings and related events are coming up on this end.  I am thrilled to have the opportunity to read from the new poetry collection that was published Sept., 2021 (High Road Books, UNMP)

The ink on agreements is still wet on the following but I’m so looking forward to getting out here is advance notice. I do hope you’ll mask up & join us if possible. If you have been wanting to get out, too, and I am in your area please pencil in the dates. As soon at the hosts and sponsors begin promoting, I’ll post details here.  (Also on social media.  You can find me on Instagram and Twitter and of course, FB.)

For now, it’s just the date and location.

March 24th, The American Writers’ Museum, Chicago:

April 7th, Hispanic Cultural Center, Albuquerque, NM (and 8th, Santa Fe, location tk)

April 19th, Sacramento State University

July 29th, Somos Writers’ organization, keynote, Taos, NM

A few of these above will be hybrid, so you may alternately join us from the comfort of your home or office. There are some others that will be conducted only virtually which I will note in a future blog post.

In case you haven’t checked this out, a recorded reading of a poem from MY BOOK OF THE DEAD featured on the American Academy of Poets Poem-A-Day program.  (My thanks to the Native American poet, Linda Hogan for her selection.)
