2020 NEIU Distinguished Alumnus Award–virtual gala today!
I was blessed to be nominated with the highest honor the university confers–2020 NEIU Distinguished Alumnus. This is not a ‘humble-brag post,” but a virtual thanks. I’m grateful to all involved in this decision which came unexpectedly. A bittersweet celebration in these COVID-19 times where it isn’t safe to travel or to hold events. I look forward to a year away when we may celebrate with family and friends.
Because the gala was cancelled and the event is virtual and such events are difficult to hold I was asked to post tonight’s event. NEIU Virtual Golden Gala and Alumni Awards Ceremony. Please tune in at 7 p.m. CST TONIGHT.Only the host will be live for this event. They will play the pre-recorded videos for the awardees.
